I would like to understand that when a person clicks on signin / login, the same should get converted My Profile link in the Menu or the top bar so that the uses can then edit their profile. I have searched your forum but I am not finding an answer.
I typically want it to have the same that you have it on your forum page.
Thanks – Nidhi
I want the users to work only on the front end and do not want to confuse them to go to the back end. The profile picture and all the information should be set only on the frontend.
Hi,
But the user doesn’t have to go in backend to set a buddypress profile picture, this can be done from frontend – http://screencast.com/t/RUEbDJ9MCw – http://screencast.com/t/QfmVoczZ
The theme pop up sign in widget is based on wordpress sign in functionality and after the user is logged in, it will link to the author page so if you want to change this you will need custom modifications, here you can find the code – http://screencast.com/t/XItENm7o I suggest to get someone to help you if you want to do this implementation as we cannot provide custom services.
Thanks!
Hi Alin – Thanks for the response. Can you please send me the code in text format so that I can use it. That will be really helpful.
Thanks – Nidhi
The code image that you provided is already active on the website. And when a user logs in, or when the use clicks on his name, he is directed to http://www.domainname.com/author/username/ and there is no option to edit the profile. To edit the profile the user has to click http://www.domainname.com/member/username/ .
How do we get this in the top bar. I hope I have made my point clear.
Please suggest.
Thanks
Hi,
I understood you from first time, but I did not provided any code, I have just suggested where you can alter the code and implement buddypress as we don’t provide custom work at this time, sorry!
Please note the theme supports the buddypress plugin by default and it doesn’t alter the basic functionality, just the design is a little bit changed.
Thanks!
