Hello!
I’m trying to copy the style of your travel demo:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/
Here’s my current site:
http://budsies.dreamhosters.com/wpbudsies/
I noticed how when you change the width of the browser window in your demo site, the camel photo does not change size; it simply crops from the sides so the size of the camel’s head stays constant. But on our site, the whole image stretches. How can we achieve the same effect with our image?
Here’s a screenshot of how we set up the page from the admin side: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6hwewlrct4qk3yx/Screenshot%202016-03-14%2015.55.48.png?dl=0
Thanks a lot!
Hello,
This is the simplest solution of recreating the travel demo homepage on another demo. This cannot be done without the custom classes used by the travel demo.
Please follow these simple steps to recreate the travel demo homepage with another (or no) demo installed:
1) This is the ‘shortcode’ of the page layout. You can simply paste it inside your page editor in classic mode and text mode: http://screencast.com/t/SUt9ItUc the code: http://pastebin.com/RAA6DkWp
2) The background image will not be found so you will need to add your own image in the row setting: http://screencast.com/t/yB2Bh0rbo
3) Please add this class: td-travel to the body of the website like so: http://screencast.com/t/fOt9sfquQtVy
This will be the result: http://screencast.com/t/vlZG4G8m1Xpy
I hope this helps!
Thank you!
Thank you!
I’ve followed your steps:
1) https://www.dropbox.com/s/at1p7295lerunwq/Screenshot%202016-03-15%2015.54.43.png?dl=0
2) https://www.dropbox.com/s/h7fabh45913pipj/Screenshot%202016-03-15%2015.53.11.png?dl=0
3) https://www.dropbox.com/s/mboxwe1rk0dmask/Screenshot%202016-03-15%2015.52.07.png?dl=0
And here’s the result: http://budsies.dreamhosters.com/wpbudsies/test-2/
Notice how the image still stretches:

Hello,
As you can see on the 2 elements on your page, the images behave differently on responsiveness due to the travel class applied, but the problem you have on desktop is not related. It has too much height. The aspect ratio is not appro[riate for this type of wide element. Please change the aspect ratio of your image. For example our image from the travel demo uses this dimensions: http://screencast.com/t/YTG3lhsDr, yours has a different aspect ratio so the image does not position properly: http://screencast.com/t/416CFjAaloaG
Make your image wider (reduce the height) by editing it in a photo editor.
Thank you!
When I’m at step 2, I do not have the same options to select the image.
here’s what I have:

Do you have an idea of what I need to enable or do?
thank you in advance
