Hows to make custom homepage in Newspaper 6?

Hi i tried to make new homepage for newspaper 6, but its really hard to make, no blocks shows there, even default templates not easy to edit.

Please make sure you have installed and activated the Visual Composer plugin. After that go to Add New Page and if the Visual Composer it’s set to work on Backend like here http://screencast.com/t/53vLirw5 pres that button and will change to the Clasic editor like here http://screencast.com/t/lNFFF6sMjW99

Now you should be able to chose the type of your homepage, blocks ant other elements you may want http://screencast.com/t/uBwOacinuY .

Hello latest visual composer active, after updating to Newspaper 6 blocks not showing in background, and even with default page templates not able to edit. For reference screenshot links given below..

tried with database update and without update, same Problem. Also tried with deactivating all plugins expect visual composer.

This is the same problem I’ve been having since I upgraded and updated. The icons for editing individual blocks are not there. I can only move or delete whole blocks but not edit. Please help. I haven’t been able to use any of the really nice looking homepage templates.

I also have a notice on my dashboard that says: “Important notice: You have an outdated version of Visual Composer Design Options. It is required to review and save it.”

Any help to fix this will be appreciated.

Be sure to update to the 6.1 version that went live today, as they may help.

Hi wpfan3751 delete your old visual composer plugin & upload new one.
Then go to dashboard under visual composer general setting check User groups access rules, and enable required shortcodes.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL…I can finally edit VC blocks again. I had no idea I needed to click on the user groups to enable the shortcodes. Jumping for joy. Thanks again.

I updated VC and I enable all shortcodes and nothing happen 🙁
I can only move elements but cant edit them
