Trying to upload photos but I keep getting an http error. How do I fix.

Hello,

This is a general issue and it can come up in different circumstances. One of them would be the system status parameters not being set properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
The PHP version can also affect the image uploads so pleawse try to use php 7.0

I get this same HTTP ERROR message when I try to upload media files ever since the last theme update. I have been trying to figure it out with the web host for weeks. I’m set to 7.0.17 PHP and I checked the points made in the link provided by Bogdan. Also, permissions are wide open. So, I’m stuck.
Please Advise

Hi,

A suggestion would be to try to switch to a WordPress default theme, and check to see if the problem is still there. This way you can find out if the theme is responsible for this problem you are having. Also please make sure that the name of the image you are trying to upload does not contain any unusual characters or symbols – https://www.screencast.com/t/Cr4ooUnVBWA
