There is no need to set the code in header.php file the code can be set in Theme panel> Analytics/JS Codes -> https://i.imgur.com/cMMIhis.png

Not the OP, but can we put multiple codes in that box or just one that does a specific function?

You can set as many you want, this will set all the code before the closing head.
