Due to theme type, Yoast seo get’s me to edit page of homepage to fix meta description but I can’t update my settings. Please can you walk me through the process.

Hi chiboyanyiki,
You need to check if you changes are display in Yoast SEO -> https://i.imgur.com/va6oVZp.png update the page and clear the cache, after that you need to re-index your page to google (this can take some time), only in this way you’ll see your meta description on google results.
