I think captcha in registration is good idea

Hi,

I am really happy with Newspaper theme but i have problem. If i “accept” registration i have too much SPAM in users registration, i attach image.

I think captcha integration is very good idea for future Newspaper update. Other good idea i think is integration with very good plugin like UserPRO.

Please fix this ASAP because it is not OK if ~50 spam accounts are created every day.

those 50 accounts are created by boots or people?
if they are created by people what would a capcha change?

I can’t say if these users are created automatically or by hands of some poor spamer fellow, but I can say for sure that deletion of such accounts is creating a lot of unwanted work every day.

+1 for this feature request, i’m spammed by bots too

I am in great trouble. Whenever, i enable registration on my site around 300 fake registrations will be done in less than 24 hours. How can i handle this situation.

I’m using Stop Spammers plugin and it works pretty well. Before that I was getting a lot of spam user registrations, too.

Anecdote: We once had an old WP install where the webmaster had left registration open even after we moved the site to a subdomain as an archive and forgotten about it. When I checked it three years later, some 1,200 spam accounts had been created and been used to post a lot of content in Polish. It was hilarious.
