Hello, admin. This is the first time that I use Newspaper and I am very satisified with amazing site speed. Considering the fact that all the other commercial themes are slow , it is pretty impressive.
But I found some compablity issues related to IE9. Below are the list that I checked in the actual IE9 browser.
1. Top header menu and log-in box : The log-in forms are viewable when users are NOT logged in. It looks so messy.
2. Font-awesome icons are not available. Especially ”:before” selectors are.
3. Visual composer tabs won`t work.
4. Footer is so messy.
5. Pulldown nav wont work.
6. Search result error message on deafault thumbnail post.
I know the visual composer dumped IE9,10 out recently and wrote describtion of compatible browser “IE11”.
I noticed a lot of those problems in the list(#1 #2 #4 #5) only happens under CHILD-THEME.
Don`t know why.

Basically your problems from 1 to 5 are all related to the same problem. Please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache (also reset cdn if you use it). These issues are often plugin conflicts. Not all plugins are compatible with premium themes as the code is custom.(plugins are created on the default WP code)
If these issues only appear in the child theme, then please try to recreate it and use the one that comes with the theme: http://screencast.com/t/AtA0saskv7bR
your last question is a different matter. It is a known problem that will get fixed in a future version of the theme. Until then, there is a workaround. Please follow this topic to see how it can be done:
