If I wanted to do a child theme, or customize the name of the theme on the main css file… Would I lose all of the work I’ve done in customizing and setting up the theme?

Hi,
Do not change the theme name or create a child theme with a different name. That will cause issues. Use the default child theme as provided in the theme package and there will be no problem

These are the files that can be customized through the child theme

So if you want to modify some of them, create the child theme and use it according to the tutorial.
