Using the “Default featured image” plugin. I get this really weird phenomenon where the image displays twice.
I do not have this feature enabled via Newspaper theme.

Unfortunately we cannot offer support for untested plugins or programs. This has not been tested with Newspaper Theme so any issue you will encounter with this would be out of support.
Let us know what are you trying to achieve and we will see what can be done.
