Hello,

how to add the image descriptions to images within the image gallery component?

There is no such a field while editing the image gallery. The images uploaded in the media library have already a description but it is not shown in the gallery

Hi,

You can use captions, each image can have a caption text. This will be displayed in the gallery

The actual description of an image would only be displayed in the image attachment page.
