Image Lighthouse on Mobile version

I see and have disabled image lighthouse on the desktop version on Newspaper. How do I disable image lighthouse as default for mobile version? I don’t see a setting for that in mobile version. I don’t want my images to pop-up when clicked or touched. In my opinion it ends up increasing the LCP. Please help, thanks

Sorry, meant image lightbox and not lighthouse. Just need to know how I disable the featured image/ other image lightbox for the mobile version. Thanks

Hello,

You can disable the lightbox from Theme Panel -> Post Settings -> General post settings => https://www.screencast.com/t/8qraORSbx
Also, if you use the Gutenberg editor you can disable on an image, like this => https://i.imgur.com/MWdVYT7.jpg

Thank you!

Hi
Thanks for responding. I have the General Modal Image disabled. I have lightbox under featured image disabled as well, but it works only for the desktop site. These settings don’t seem to be applying to the mobile version of newspaper theme. How do I disable lightbox there as it seems to affect the LCP of my articles on google search console? Featured image is the first large content that loads on a mobile page and google takes it as a negative if it takes more time. Desktop version, Google seems to be fine with. Mobile version is where it’s putting an error and the only difference seems to be the lightbox appearing on featured and other images on mobile theme. My url is sabysworld.com

Hello,

This problem may be due to this option in the AMP =>https://www.screencast.com/t/pckkmejuXJiz, please disable it and check if the problem persists.

Let me know the results!

Thank you!

Thanks for responding but both the solutions don’t work and logically they shouldn’t. I have lightbox disabled by default in posts, works on desktop version of the site but not the mobile version. AMP settings wont work either. Even if i disable the redirect to amp, the mobile users will still get redirected to amp post versions by default. That is how amp works now on mobile devices.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the above method is the only solution that can remove the lightbox from our theme and mobile theme are using (our theme lightbox have a transparent background, not like that one from WordPress or AMP ).
Our theme doesn’t have control over lightbox for AMP.

Thank you for your understanding!
