Do you maybe use an image plugin or the photon feature of jetpack? If so please remove these plugins/options.
The image lightbox could also break if you use a link in your image caption.

Hello, thanks. I don’t use photon. But above all, the matter is that the problem occurred suddenly, from one day to the other one, without any change on our website but the wordpress update. I tried to come back to the previous one, but nothing have changed.
Concerning the pictures, we are used to add them from the wordpress media gallery where we put them in. For example, this article, the first image works with the “lightbox” effect, but the other ones don’t work. Moreover, once the picture doesn’t work, it doesn’t work everywhere on the website. I changed the theme thanks to a website of development, but the problem occurs only with the Newspaper theme.

It seems something is wrong on your side as the td-modal-image class gets applied on the td-post-content which is not the way it should be. Plus i see you have multiple div’s with the td-post-content class. Something is definitely not OK there. Maybe some custom modifications are in place that affect these classes. Please try to create a fresh install of the theme if you do not have custom modifications. If you do, then you can create a testing sub-domain and install the theme there to test it out and see how the classes are supposed to be applied.
