I am currently trying to implement an optimal image source detection solution to comply with local legislation.
For this, the source information (author, license, etc.) must be visible either directly under the respective picture or at the end of the page.
I installed the “Image Source Control” plugin as a test and it does a good job in “normal” blog posts for my needs. However, it does not work if, for example, I use an image within an “Image Info Box” element.

Hence my question about the best practice in using the Newspaper theme. How can an image source reference be optimally implemented, possibly also under an additional page, which summarizes all the image sources used.

Hi,

I think that the plugin “Image Source Control” will detect only the images that are set with img tag, these that are set as background will not be detected -> https://i.imgur.com/gX4FQEA.png

Thank you for your understanding!

Thanks for the feedback.
I had already noticed that it didn’t work.
Unfortunately, I miss my general question in the answer, how the image source reference can be solved in the best possible way, when using the newspaper theme, possibly with other plugins or options that I am currently not aware of.
Surely there should be corresponding experiences here.

Hi,

Unfortunately our theme do not have this option, also we didn’t tested any plugins for this therefore we can not recommend one, sorry for the inconvenience!
Also from what I can see in the plugin that you are using is specific that will not work with all themes -> https://i.imgur.com/4v21pBR.png

Thank you for your understanding!
