In the last version of Visual Composer some classes have changed and the buttons and some other VC elements that we haven styled lost their css, we have this on our todo list and we are working on it unfortunately we still have incompatibility issues regarding VC style.
I can find a solution for this in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/buttons/#post-21804 and try to import the VC css: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/buttons/#post-21825

Please send me an example with this, a screenshot would be helpful(from backed where it appears customize), also please provide your site’s URL and point me where you use this button so I can inspect this and try to provide a css solution.

In Newspaper 5 will be available the latest version of Visual Composer. The latest version provided with the theme’s files is 4.4.4 and you can find it in the /plugins folder from files that you have downloaded from themeforest.
