Hi there,
A recent problem has started occuring on my website http://www.fishingindustrynewssa.com and I’m not sure what has caused it or how to fix it.
Most of the image thumbnails on my site are not displaying on the the homepage or in the sidebar and recommended content sections, etc. The large header images for individual articles seem to be displaying fine, although I haven’t checked all of them. Strangely, I only started noticing this problem a few weeks ago as before then it was displaying the thumbnails just fine.
I have tried installing and running the “Regenerate Thumnails” extension but this hasn’t helped.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!
Hello MacZil,
I have inspected your website and I saw that some posts have featured images set up and some of them does not have as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/MsXrACckW7tV Set up the featured images for your posts if you want to have thumbnails on your blocks.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Catalin,
I have managed to fix this problem now by changing the image editor library used by WordPress and adjusting how Imagick uses the server resources as I am currently using shared hosting which limits the number of processes allowed to run at once which resulted in the image errors.
Thanks for replying and taking a look!
Hello MacZil,
Do you are referring to the number of images which are cropped by the theme, according to blocks used by you? Check the Theme panel and turn off the thumbs which are not used by you in your project, from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cyEWXKnW2
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi!
I didn’t want to open new topic, I see this is very similar. I have problem with displaying thumbnails on sidebar: https://imgur.com/a/E4gcMBj
What I did so far:
* disable Smush plugin
* regenerate thumbnails two times (two different plugins)
What can I do more?
Hello Tuudi,
I have inspected again your website and the images from your sidebar seem to be displayed as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WrTW0JJv
Also, if the problem reappears, please notice that issues happen due because your images get stuck to opacity 0. This error happens due to your untested plugins used by you. Please disable all of your untested plugins (Jetpack), clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
