Image Widget Background Color Not Changing

Hey All,

I’m trying to use the image widget to place images/logos, but I can’t change the gray background color, in any of the panel settings. I’ve changed everything to “white” but gray is still displaying, as shown here:

Any idea what I’m missing?

Thanks.

Hi,
That background color is coming from the image option “Box style” -> https://i.imgur.com/R2vcCX2.png just set it on white box -> https://i.imgur.com/OsnOI4g.png
I hope this will help you!

Thanks for the tip, that worked.

@Calin, actually there is another issue. The images are being cropped in different responsive scenarios. All the images are the same dimensions. Any idea what is happening?

Thanks.

Hello @ekraft!

They are cropped automatically: https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/ ; that’s why you can disable the thumbs you are not using. Set up your thumbs from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Block settings -> Thumbs on modules/blocks. If you deactivate a dimension from there, next time when you will upload an image, it will not be resized to that dimension.
After changing the thumbnail sizes you need to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

Thank you!

I don’t think that’s accurate Bettina, as these aren’t featured images. They are just images on the page and shouldn’t be automatically cropped. They aren’t cropped in the normal desktop view, only when showing on smaller devices. Why wouldn’t those images just be scaled down?

Hello @ekraft!

Please provide more information about the issue, screenshots or a video.

A solution for sending a screenshot/video is this:
Download, capture, send: https://www.techsmith.com/jing-tool.html
After making the screenshot, you will have a link, paste it here.

Thank you!

Bettina, you can see it live from the above URL. You just need to go to the page and with Chrome’s developer toolbar (F12), you can switch to responsive mode and see the images being cropped. You can also just resize your browser window and make it smaller – and there you will see the images/logos on the screen begin to get cut off.

Thanks.

Hello @ekraft!

Please provide a screenshot and point me the image that will be cropped on mobile.
Also, for this you can make sure that when you upload an image, you choose full size: https://www.screencast.com/t/Oxue274e
In the flex blocks you can choose which image size each should use: https://www.screencast.com/t/r3Dzcmj94gVL
Making smaller images bigger is not a good option for this because the quality of images will be destroyed.
These issues can be seen while editing with the TagDiv Composer on tablet viewport and mobile viewport:https://www.screencast.com/t/YUVUcyrgh; https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB

Thank you!
