I have in options.php set image_default_link_type to file so that by default all my inserted media link to the file. Since upgrading to Gutenberg, the default has changed to none, despite the setting still being set to file.
Not sure if this is theme related or wordpress core. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,
Please check this with classic element from Gutenberg, this should maintain the last settings that you make, all you need to do is to set those settings once and those will remain until you’ll change them.
