I guess that your images get stuck to opacity 0. This error happens due to your untested plugins used by you. Please disable all of your untested plugins (Jetpack), clear all the caches and check the results.

Hey, I had the same issue. It isn’t an opacity issue, the images just aren’t loading.
I tried disabling every non-tagdiv plugin, it sill didn’t work.
I had to finally restore a backup (thankfully I had made one before running the update)
Please look into it.
