All of a sudden the images on my website stopped appearing.
I’ve tried the following with no luck:
1: I updated to the latest version of WP (4.5.2)
2: I updated to the latest version of the Newspaper Theme (7.1.1)
3: I updated to the latest version of Visual Composer (4.11.2)
4: I’ve tried disabling all plugins except Visual Composer
5: I cleared the cache in WP Super Cache.
I tried the following (after reading other people’s support tickets for this issue)
1: I went to Theme settings and disabled lazy load. This seems to allow some of my images inside posts and in sidebars to load, but still none of my featured images are loading. I have turned lazy load back on.
Here is a link to my site: http://www.azoutdoormagazine.com/dev
Please help.
Hi,
Please check the plugins again as you still have a js error in your console: http://screencast.com/t/0GSxK2JIJM
The lazyload animation is the first to break on js errors that is why the images disappear. DIsable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check your images again.
Thanks.
Can you explain what you mean by “clear cache and reset CDN files”??
Are you talking about the cache in my web browser, or a cache within my WordPress Site?
What are CDN files and how do I reset them?
Here’s what I just tried….
1: I disabled all plugins except Visual Composer.
2: I cleared my browser cache
3: I don’t know what cdn files are so I did not clear them. I’m using GoDaddy Economy Shared Hosting. I don’t know if I am using a cdn model or not.
The images are still not showing up. Please help!!
Hi,
If you do not use a cdn server, then you do not need to clear anything.
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and inspect your site.
Also include a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thank you!
Hi,
This issue with disappearing images can be caused by 2 things that result in the same conflict. A javascript error. It can be a conflicting plugin or a custom modification you made. In madeyoulookstudio’s case it was a custom code added in the theme panel that broke the js. Please check your custom code either in the main theme or the child theme or find the conflicting plugin.
Thanks.
