Hi, there

Please help me solving this issue.
I have updated my site http://www.multidesportos.pt to the most recent versions of wordpress, newsmag and visual computer.

However images are not showing; menus have no links; vc not working in main page.

I have done all that was suggested: disabling all the plugins, clearing caches, aso, bu immages still not showing (neither the other probles solved).

Please help

Thanks,

Carlos Pereira

Hi

I’ve checked your site and the theme works fine but you don’t have set the featured image for your post, that’s why there is no image displayed on homepage. Try to set some featured images for your posts: http://screencast.com/t/tDU3mo4C then test the site again.

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply Andrei L.

Sorry, but the problem is not that Andrei, because my site is plenty of featured images, that is, all the post have one feature image uploaded to the server.

The immage is uploaded, I confirm with the link in the browser, but does not appear; neither the recent uppload nor ALL the other in the system.

When I open Multimedia I receive a list with ALL the immages, well referenced (that is, the post where it was attached, aso) but the immages are not showing.

Besides, this will not help regarding the lak of links and some other problems with menus; menus are not working well, they are all the same: not categories, not pages.

Should I reinstall manually wordpress 4.5 ?

Thanks again for your help, Andrei L.

Alo, Andrei L.

I talk with BlueHost about this problem because I saw a log file with 502 MB at multidesportos.pt

Aaaron answer about images not showing was as follows:

Definitely not 4.5 – The issue is with the images themselves. The coding all points to: http://www.multidesportos.pt/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/images/no-thumb/td_300x194.png

Which is a no thumbnail – either there isn’t an image set, or the theme isn’t generating one correctly.

Can you, please, revert with this new information ??

@galollero
I’ve checked your site and images are loaded fine now, however I’ve noticed that you’re using an older version of Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/zCd1rbLo If you have any issues with page editing update the plugin at V 4.11.2 which is included in theme’s path, clear all caches and test again. Here you can check our documentation regarding the update process: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

@ybs
also update Visual Com poser plugin.

Thanks!

Hi all,

I faced the same problem and solved it. For now I solved it by downgrading WordPress. You can downgrade WordPress only Via FTP. Download WordPress 4.4 from WordPress download archive. Upload only wp-admin & wp-includes directory and replace all files via ftp. Don’t forget to take a database & file backup before you start this process. After you are done an try logging into wp-admin you will be prompted to update the database, click update database. Now after done you can check all your images reappear.

Till now I have this solution. After I get another solution with WordPress update + image view, will post here for sure.

Thanks all !!!

Hi – I am having the same problem. We updated to the latest WP 4.5.1 and all of our feature images disappeared at http://www.inspirelle.com. We recently updated the Newsmag theme already. Our developer who usually helps is on holiday, and I need help urgently. Can you please help? I saw that durgatripathy resolved this problem by downgrading WP. But I have no idea how to do this.

Try this:
a) if using Smush.it — stop; lots of issues since last month. This is a top issue for all WP 4.5 users.

b) in your php settings on server hosting control panel, change “max input time” AND “max execution time” to 120 seconds.
Many folks have it set to only 60 seconds by default. On our server after PLESK update the input time dropped to 60 seconds and we had WP 4.5.1 crashing left and right. If you already had max exec to 120, and max input to 60, changing max input to 120 solved all our crashes.

Might not be your issue — but try it and report back.

Hi

Thanks @Chris for your help!
@INSPIRELLE I’ve checked your site and now it works fine now: http://screencast.com/t/IADVC2OSv If you still have this issue try to update the theme at V 2.3.6, and Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all other plugins, clear all caches and test again.

Thanks!

I fixed it by uninstalling the theme and reinstalling it.

After I refreshed the browser all the images started showing up again.

Good practice on updating theme is to DELETE the old theme folder, and upload NEW one, vs over-writing the old folder. This is also how the WordPress built-in updater works for plugins and its own default themes.
