What’s going on? I have tried disabling various plugins but the issue still persists! I even regenerated thumbnails!

I have disabled defering javascript, that’s why they are working.

It could be a plugin or it could be a custom code you added that breaks the js. You will have to test disabling all plugins, not “various plugins” as you mentioned above. Disable all of theme and clear all caching. Then see if the js is still broken, if yes, that means the error is not plugin related. Check any custom code in your theme panel custom code section or even the ads. Sometimes ad codes can provide js errors as well.
