Import posts, media and events from old webpage to new

Hi,
we are trying to transfer our webpage to a new page with this theme. For now we created a subfolder of the main page to build the website before release. We used the Plugin WordPress Importer to import all former posts and images featured and included in the posts to the new page. But there were only posts imported. None of the media got imported. How should we proceed to get the images connected to the posts?

Unfortunately we didn’t tested and plugin or method for this, therefore I can not provide a solution -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/
What I can suggest is to make a copy/migrate of the old website and remove all the elements from it until you left only the posts, media and events.
