Hello , let me tell you about my experience . The theme is great , slowly I am managing to use it to the best despite not having great knowledge . What I would like to understand is that a strange thing happened to me , the first time I thought it was a coincidence , but the second time ( last night ) I realized that I do not know how come the two things are connected .
I’ve been thinking for days to give visitors the ability to comment , I perform all the procedures as per the manual , the new user gets the email to register , he also manages to log in , although I wanted to delve into the aesthetic side for the registration menus but that’s another matter . Anyway after about 5 minutes the site STOPS WORKING ! Basically it is no longer reachable as if the domain no longer exists ! I made a million attempts but nothing , the only thing left to do is to do a new DNS propagation , with all that follows , site unreachable for hours , hiccup functionality etc .
I have the domain name registered on godaddy and the site host on tmd hosting , obviously both one and the other remain reachable if you try with ping or traceroute , but the link between the domain name and the host server I don’t know why is broken .
I know it sounds crazy but I know what I am talking about .
Now I would like to understand if there is anyone really knowledgeable who can help me clarify why this happens .
Obviously when restoring I have to delete the header logging immediately and return the checkmarks from both menu theme and general to “off” , otherwise it happens again .
What astrological conjuncture connects the two ?
Help me , because I don’t think I am the only one to whom it happens , maybe many of you have never tried it and in any case the phenomenon is so absurd that it absolutely must be understood . !

Hello and thanks for the reply , the procedure we follow is the one recommended by you , it is not understood why when we activate access to comments , the site becomes unreachable , yet there is nothing that is changed ( at least that we can see ) in the site settings .
It seems to be inexplicably a DNS problem , which is solved only by forcing a new dns propagation but with devastating effects on the visibility of the site .
Now I will check your link , but we are afraid to try again , because we do not want to go off line again , pls help !
I read , the article , I exclude it could be a malware or foreign stuff .
When the article was published I had not yet purchased newspaper and anyway I am using the latest version , clean ,without strange plugins .
The number of visits is growing , the site is also monetized by google , I can not afford to experiment , I already tried it twice and went off line .

Please provide a screenshot where you “activate access to comments”, so we can verify and investigate this issue.
Make a full backup before the update and see if the issue is still there.
