The message is: ‘Are you sure you want to create a new page?’; ‘Try again’
And the ‘Try again’-link brings me back to the dashboard.

That would a WordPress issue, there are some steps that you can take to identify why this is happening or fix the problem

First check the theme system status

Ask your hosting provider to increase the allocated resources if needed. Investigate plugins, deactivate them all except theme plugins. Clear all caching as well. Check if the issue is still happening after trying these suggestions.
