I have been using Newsmag for years without an issue. Today, during routine maintenance, I received a message the theme was had an error and WP switched to its default theme as a result. I reinstalled the theme from scratch and everything appears to now be working except for the menus. No matter what I do, the theme refuses to save the menu locations.
I have tried creating new menus, turning them on and off, I have made sure that all my php.ini (and so on) settings were high enough but it still refuses to save locations preventing all menus from showing. This appears to be some sort of database issue.
Please advise.
This has been solved. I deleted the “theme_mods_” for Newsmag in “wp_options” of the database which forced a reset and then everything worked fine again.
