Hi, thank you all for the help you have providing. one thing we wanted to point out, the option in theme panel to disable featured image site wide is good, but I think that option should also be in post as well.
they are articles that we add featured image for, but only want it show as featured, while in post we use another image in stead..

Hi,
I don’t know exactly if there will be this option in the backend of the articles, but if you want you can use post style 7 to show featured image only on modules/blocks and it will not appear on post so you can use another image in posts: http://screencast.com/t/G2KM7j71N
