How do I make the comment number show on author pages accurate? It does not correctly tally the comments on all posts displayed. Thanks.

The commentator must be logged into the system so that the counter correctly shows the number of comments.

What? This doesn’t make any sense. I’m looking at one author page, for example, and it says “3 Posts” “6 Comments” but the comment balloons on the posts displayed on the author page add up to 12.
I’m a reader. Why doesn’t this display correctly?
