When anyone copies a link to my website URL, and posts it say on FB. It shows a picture from the slider on the home page (not the photo I want from that slider, but I can live with the one its sharing), but the text is reading as pic credit to another random business that has an old event in my event calendar! So it reads as though that picture has been submitted by that business which is not the case, and i really don’t want the short text to show any credit anyway as it should show a short intro about the business which it is not.
Help!
That is actually a built in ’embed’ function of WordPress, not the theme.
You might be able to control that with Yoast SEO social media settings. Or Google a solution.
We actually removed the embed function from our sites.
