Increasing CLS

Hi,

I have been having problems with the CLS score for about a month on my web https://viajeros30.com. The final score of all my URLs in PageSpeedInsights are very good, all above 90% and the real-time data (Lab Data) indicates a good CLS score. Nevertheless, field data (data collected during the previous 28-day period) has been steadily increasing for about a month. This constant growth of the Cumulative Layout Shift has caused almost every URL of my website do not pass the Speedtest evaluation and in Google Search Console Panel the page experience is giving very negative data, every day worse.

I have seen in the forum that I am not the only person to whom it happens https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/facing-cls-error-on-mobile-device/
And I know two other people with this same template who are experiencing the same problems. It cannot be a coincidence.

Any idea what may be causing this problem?

Hello!

I have investigated your website and at the moment this are the results: https://www.screencast.com/t/X93BPrytCYZ Can you confirm that this was lower in the last 7 days? And also, can you let us know If besides posting, have you changed anything to the layout, any modifications?

Thank you!

Yes It´s the lower. But the real problem is in mobile devices. And no, no modifications beyond updating some plugin.

Thanks

Hi rebecaserna, I just check your website and now seems to be quite faster then last time and I do not think that this will affect your website https://i.imgur.com/PRCUdIK.png -> https://i.imgur.com/3TQwACk.png the only suggestion it is if you can use smaller images https://i.imgur.com/RMLIgk8.png then the website will be load faster.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

Yes, my web loads fast and have a really good score on Page Speed Insights. The real problem, as I told on the first message is CLS on mobile. The CLS field data (data collected during the previous 28-day period on Google Search Console) has been steadily increasing for about a month. This constant growth of the Cumulative Layout Shift has caused almost every URL of my website to not pass the Speedtest evaluation and in Google Search Console Panel the page experience is giving very negative data, every day worse. This is the problem.

Hi rebecaserna, I checked again and the results are good https://i.imgur.com/oJwNJKN.png -> https://i.imgur.com/hMIQZ4q.png -> https://i.imgur.com/RX7BdG4.png and the only problems on mobile I see to be with LCP -> https://i.imgur.com/utMpfiv.png , there are none for CLS -> https://i.imgur.com/9sZHEsm.png
Now the LCP is in most part related to images and there size, a good LCP it is under2.5 seconds and a poor one is over 4 seconds. Now the only suggestion that I see in lighthouse for your website is not related of images and it is on CSS and js. But if you want you can make a test and use smaller images. For example here -> https://i.imgur.com/UnjVd7N.jpg
