inherit view counts from "WordPress Popular Posts" plugin

Hi,

I was counting the view count by “WordPress Popular Posts” plugin.
When I switch the theme to newspaper, can I use the view counts come from “WordPress Popular Posts” plugin?

Hello tahigash,

Sorry but this kind of plugin has not been tested with our theme and also, we do not know about this functionality! You should use only the theme’s settings and functionality if you want to achieve best theme results. Also, we cannot provide support for untested plugins.

Hi Catalin,

Thank you for your reply. I understood that newspaper cannot inherit the view counts from other plugin.

If so, is it possible to set the view count manually as starting value? I don’t want to show low numbers to users as I had many before changing the theme. I’m expecting newspaper to start counting from the manually-set-view-count.

Yes, notice that you can set this value but you should do it manually for each of your posts from Custom Field, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/0DAH95wtmL
