Hi there!

I have 2 different sites, both using Newspaper theme. Both sites retrieved ads from a revive ad server.

The theme ad settings are identical, however on one of the sites, the ad is resized on the other its not.
(Article inline)

Correctly rendered (source 580×400 px ad)

Incorrectly rendered (source 580×400 px ad)

Any ideas?

Hi,

Theme ad system was designed to render ad sense code. For non adsense we recommend to use these divs or something similar and add a fixed width for your banners for different screen size – https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads/
Also you can use text block to render your ads or try to use a plugin like Ad Rotate or Simple Ads Manager that many users are using.
On first link where your ad is displayed – 580x400 – you use it in article inline spot from Theme Panel – http://screencast.com/t/6i8Skm3G6wCg but on the other article you use it in div(directly in the post content I guess) and you have an inline css – http://screencast.com/t/2QBtyhc1http://screencast.com/t/R2oY6NudC

Thanks!

Hi Alin!
Thanks for update. But I don’t understand.
The sites had identical settings – both using inline ad, and its the exact same code from our revive server, but still its rendered differently. I’m not placing the ad in post content, only using the theme Ad functionality.

You also say that (in the docs)
The ad code is automatically detected by the theme and it will be rendered using the following rules:

Google adSense – If you enter a google adsense code, the theme will make it responsive and the ad will fill the available space.
Simple ad code (js/flash/images) – this is rendered as entered by the user
[shortcodes] – the spot will run do_shortcodes() on the ad. Using shortcodes you can add adRotate ads to that spot

Now on the same site – two different articles is rendered differently

OK: http://www.hooked.no/artikler/villmarkskampanjen-2015
Wrong: http://www.hooked.no/artikler/terje-fikk-kjempelaks-i-drammenselva

Please help out, this is driving my nuts.

Hi,

Not sure how you have added the ad code. Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a look, also paste a link to this topic so we can know who you are.

Thanks!
