Hello,
In the past, I was able to edit single.php to place an image in this spot (below the overall header area/bottom nav menu but before the split column post template begins). For some reason, nothing I add to this file (or the loop file) shows up. Is there any way to place some simple code below the header in Newsmag? Thanks!

Hi,
If you want to add something like this, you will need to edit the header template according to your template used by you. With the last theme update, the theme comes with some changes over the root of the files and probably that’s why you have not found the right files anymore.
