Instagram GalleryBlock Render Failed Error

Everything was working fine on Saturday. I have changed nothing and came back to work on the site today and now have this error: “Instagram GalleryBlock Render Failed – This endpoint has been retired.” Now the photos don’t show when they were showing up on Saturday night when I quit working.

I have checked the client’s Instagram account and they have not changed anything.

I have cleared the cache numerous times. I have removed Instagram from the design, saved, and reinstalled it. All give me the same results.

Please advise.

Same issue developed today.

Is this cause?

I have the same problem. It looks like instagram made a change to their APIs today. I’m unsure how to fix it.

Thank you! What a pain! I’ll get with the client and see if that will fix the issue.

Hi,

Indeed there was been a change for the Instagram, our developers are informed about this and we’ll try to find a way to make it to work again.

Thank you!

Thank you. My client really wants to be able to utilize Instagram.

I’m having the same issue. Everything was working fine, I saved a new post, and then it stopped. Last week I ran into an issue where it wouldn’t work using the footer settings and social network settings at the same time. When I put my username in the footer section, it would show older pictures and when I deleted it, the widget was current. Now I can’t connect to my Instagram in the social networks section (404 error). But with just the user name in the footer section, I’m at least back to old pics.

same here, waiting a fix. Is the above reply legit? Are we supposed to share our full login details via email to contact@tagdiv.com?

What about the security risks?

It’s a canned reply. Got it on another thread a while back.

I imagine they’ll have to push a theme update to everyone or post a fix here we can all apply ourselves.

Calin said, “Indeed there was been a change for the Instagram, our developers are informed about this and we’ll try to find a way to make it to work again.”

But then Vlad said, “Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:

Which one do we go by? I’m assuming you will have to push a new update to the theme as this is a global change for everyone, so giving you my login credentials really is a moot point.

Thanks.

Vlad probably did not take the effort to read the entire thread.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Not fixed yet!

If instagram changed their API then this can only be fixed with a theme update so don’t expect that it suddenly will start working again.

Watching . . . waiting . . . . .

Following this thread as well because our sites are seeing this issue and need it fixed.

no news ?

I read that instagram originally had intended to change the API on March 2 but moved it to June 29, it baffles me that the tagdiv developers where not aware about this and that the users had to inform them about it…

Same thing happening to mine, thought there was a link to the change in API.

I see many of the WordPress plugins have updated the new Instagram APIs, so hopefully, this will be updated soon.
