Hi,
I have just noticed something weird about instagram widget. All the images in the instagram widget which is in the footer of my site – https://facesoman.com/ – are getting stored in my media library.
Please shed some knowledge if it is due to some setting from instagram or is it something new.
These images are all repeats from the website. They get stored with a file name like this – 122708506_1410727439132674_9218832278859346604_n

Hi Simone,
TagDiv said they would look into it sort it on next update which was on 19th November. I see photo from 19 November instagram post last in my media library. I dont see the instagram photo from today’s post in my media library. Maybe it is sorted. Will know for sure with a few more posts.
Should be the same for you.

Hi, me even after the last update the problem was not solved. I also tried uninstalling the social plugin, resetting the instagram key, clearing the cache, etc.
I respect all the requirements of the theme but I still have this problem.

Simone
Hi All,
This problem has still ot been solved. Please look into this.
Same problem for me. When you fix it, please add a way to locate and delete all these images that have been created in our libraries.

Hello !
Please note that after speaking to our developers we have came to the conclusion that this is not a bug. Some of the media will remain save in the library so it can be served as fast as possible hen opening up your website.
You can remove that manually. This should be an issue only if you have duplicates or a very high number of images that may not be reflected in your Instagram account.
Thank you !
Hi,
Removing them manually leaves a blank space in the instagram widget. It is strange that we did not have this problem earlier. This auto saving of Insta images have started only after the update this year.
This definitely needs to be looked into.

Sounds like a bug to me because there are literally hundreds of duplicate images. If coded correctly there should only be one copy of each Instagram image rather than duplicates created over and over again.
There is a very high number of duplicates, so a way to remove these is essential if tagdiv’s coding is going to continue to produce them. Lol
Hello !
Indeed this has to be only one of each image so having duplicates it is a bug, Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– A link to this topic in order to identify you
Thank you !
Hi,
This problem has not been solved yet. I thought the new update may take care of this problem still persists. The instagram images are still saving automatically in the media library.
Please look into this.

Sophia
