Installed the new updates and now my site is all messed up

Hi! I installed the new update this morning and now my site is a real mess.

http://www.ottawamommyclub.ca.

Host restored the back up, so now it’s fine. How can I install it properly so this won’t happen again? Also the plug ins did not install with the update? This is my first update.

sounds about right,.. but don’t expect immediate support,.. took them 24 hrs to respond to an email saying they were busy
