Hello posonty,
Your theme settings should stay the same as the files will not be modified.
There is a page in our documentation that can help you: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thank you.
I just perform the same steps on page I of help for the child theme and it seems to work.
A question; When you update the topic I have to do something in the child theme?
This is the structure that I have right now in the child theme:

Hi,
If you follow the tutorial and make each step as it shows, everything will work fine.
Regarding the update, i think you are talking about a theme update, in that case it depends. If it is a major update (to a different version) not a dot revision, then yes…you will have to update the child theme as well.
Thank you
Do you mean all the folders and files of the parent theme to the child theme?
Not all the files and folders. The child theme requires just a few of them: read our documentation for more info: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/.
If you are also talking about an update, then yes if it’s a major update and the theme will be rebuild, then yes, all the files will be rewritten. (It happened in the current version. Version 6 is a totally different theme than Version 4)
Thank you
