I just updated Newspaper to 8.7.3 and instagram social counter (sidebar right) is not counting mmy followers right.
And my instagram widget on footer is not showing any image and saying that I have 0 followers.
I already cleaned my cache (both firefox and chrome) and it did not solved.

This appears to be solved, althoug in side bar shows less followers than on footer.

The same number of followers is now present. The counter is not a live count and is affected by cache. Please check the numbers again now.
