Hello. I see more and more clients, including me are requesting an integrated support for Social Login. Indeed most of news websites have this feature available, so Newspaper, being the best sold News Theme SHOULD have this option too as it’s almost standard everywhere.
I would like to see options for easy integration of most popular social login plugins, and for Login buttons be displayed on Newspaper Modal, with ability to translate those strings into other languages.
What do You think, ladies and gents?
Thank You.
Hello,
We are aware of the social network implementation in our theme. We understand there are lots of requests for social sharing options but our theme already has header social icons, a social counter plugin, post social sharing button as well as footer social sharing buttons. There are plenty of plugins out there that provide sharing options and we did not consider we needed to invest more in something that is already provided free. We will consider it though as we are open to suggestions.
Thank you!
Sorry but in 2017 and even before, visitors should be able to login with their social media. The login through wordpress is absolutely ridiculous for such a beautiful news theme.
I hope you can do something soon.
Regards
Does the theme authors understand what we actually need?
We know that there are Social Login plugins available, that do the job, but the topic is about native integration of one of those plugins, that would allow social login buttons in Log In MODAL. Thats all we want.
I have tried some code adjustments I found on other topics – did not work. It does get the buttons in MODAL, but messes up the structure and other MODAL menus…
Why not just disable the them modal; build your own modal with CSS, and replace it with social login option that hooks into WP?
If you need it that badly, hire somebody. It’s not that hard.
Otherwise, as they’ve already answered they will consider it as possible future option, even though it will add a lot of additional support overhead.
Still impressed. …. happy.
I do agree with the original poster. The theme is phenomenal and really gets the job done, but not having an integrable comments section is a little unbearable in the current news landscape. We had been using Social Login with no problems for a few years, and now we are looking for a workaround (i.e., Spot.IM, etc.).
