As we know that Newspaper is a responsive theme. Do we require a mobile theme or amp. Is not using the mobile theme or amp will increase site speed?

Hello !
The less plugins the page has to load the greater the speed. But if you want your page to have good google results then you will need amp, also the mobile theme increases the page speed on mobile devices.
