Is there a way to change the login modal?

Is there a way to change the login modal?
For example, when I use Sign in/join, it asks users to input an email and USERNAME

I would like this modal to ask to sign up creating a user name and password and then have it send a confirmation email

The account setup process is very weird and unlike anything I’ve seen – why would anyone want to go fetch a password from their email? It significantly hinders users signing up.

Is there any documentation on how to change the login modal functionality so I can customize it and change its functionality to create an account using email and password?

Also, the header login element, that still makes users “sign up” and doesn’t ask to create a “username and password” it also requires “email and username” then the password is sent to email
