I am experiencing an issue with the display of the latest blog posts on our homepage at https://inquietonotizie.it .
The homepage features a section with two main content areas for our articles. The large, primary area (Widget 1) is designed to display the absolute latest published article. The smaller area next to it (Widget 2) is meant to display the next four articles in order of date.
The problem is that the latest article is incorrectly appearing in the secondary Widget 2 (along with three others), while the second-to-last article is incorrectly showing in the main Widget 1. This error causes the wrong article to be highlighted as the “latest” one.
Could you please investigate the query or widget logic to ensure the most recently published article is correctly placed and displayed in the main, large Widget 1?
Hi,
From what I understand, the settings should be like this, the first element is set to display the latest article, and the second element is set to display the next 4 latest articles with an offset set to 1 (to skip the first article). Most of the time, when the results are not correct, it is related to the fact that the unique article is enabled on your page – https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/. Please check if you have this option enabled, if it is, please disable it , clear the cache, and the problem will be resolved.
Thank you!
Hi, the unique articles is enabled and must stay enabled, because I don’t want to show duplicate articles my homepage. I question myself, how is it possible that the firt block displays a latest post? Shouldn’t Unique Articles work from the second block on?
Hi,
When using the unique articles option, it’s possible to encounter issues like this because the feature checks the page source for articles. For example, if you have a menu page or a popup menu that also displays articles, those articles may no longer appear in your post content https://i.imgur.com/pdu42In.png
For testing purposes, you can temporarily disable the unique articles option and check if the problem is resolved. A possible solution would be to set a delay for the popup menu on the page.
