Hi…
I have a huge problem now with the Smart snap – (mobile) option in header.
Correct me if I am wrong… Smart snap – (mobile) option is used to show the sticky navigation header menu only if the user scrolls the page up… and it is only supposed to work for Mobile devices.
In my case when I activate the Smart snap – (mobile) option, the navigation hides on desktop/laptop as well which i fell it should function in that way? Right??
I tested the site on Mac as well as windows on (Chrome and Mozilla) browsers and faced the same issue.
Apart from that…
If i am installing any plugin which is supposed to work only on responsive layout such as social sharing plugins sometimes it automatically starts to work on desktop/laptop.
I tried few different plugins and i had the same issues with them.
this is my website URL http://www.magscroll.com
I really to fix the issue asap… I will appreciate your help.
TQ!
Hi,
You have already an answer here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/issue-report/#post-44407
I checked again your site and smart snap -(mobile) is working properly:
*on mobile when you scroll down the menu is hiding and when you scroll up appears sticky menu
*on desktop the menu is always sticky.
Please provide more details about your sharing plugin and what is the issue as I don’t know what you mean ” it automatically starts to work on desktop/laptop “. It should work only on mobiles? You can also address to plugin’s support.
Thanks!
Hi alin!
I tired on my laptops but it’s not functioning the way it was supposed to be… I tested on chrome and mozzila it has issue but on safari it works… I tried on different laptops and issue is there…
Two addon questions.
1. How can remove the square blue button in bottom right.
2. How can I change the font size for H5 (Heading 5) for mobile devices to smaller size
THanks!
Hi,
Once again when the smart snap mobile is active the main menu remain fixed on desktop screens(when you scroll up or down) and on mobile appears only when you scroll up. We check your site many times and it is working properly, please clear cache.
1. Please try this custom css to hide “to top” button: http://screencast.com/t/TIfAu6B4kt8
.td-scroll-up-visible {
display: none !important;
}
2. Also for h5 you can change the font size using media queries: http://screencast.com/t/Zzrwvc46gj
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-post-text-content h5{
font-size: 20px;
}
}
Thanks!
HI Alin!
I have cleared the cache as well as browsing history of my browsers… on chrome and mozilla it’s not working but on safari it does.
I feel some where in the site code their is any error or issue. because i installed some plugin which were only supposed to work on responsive layout only (Sticky Social Sharing Button) but it was showing up in the desktop view of the site as well. I tried the same plugin on another site of mine it was working perfectly as it was supposed to work.
I am not a pro programmer but I fell their is something wrong with the responsiveness of the site.
If you want I can pass you the credentials so that you can look into the codes.
Thanks!
Hi,
I’ve also tested this on various browser’s (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera) on different OS and found the expected behavior. On your site all work the same way, I haven’t found any differences between browsers as you’ve reported – the menu stays fixed at the top of the page when scrolling down and snaps on mobiles when you scroll up so it means you use this option: http://screencast.com/t/F5mztMIbnj
You need to use this option: http://screencast.com/t/DSshlFG6hwS to make the menu always snap on mobiles and desktop also. The same behavior you can find on our demo site: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ – it uses the “smart snap (always)” option which makes the menu always snap when you scroll up. If you need other functionality for this we suggest you get a freelancer to implement it for you as you need additional customization for it.
If you already use this option and this is the result you have let me know.
Thanks
