Dear Newsmag team,
First, thank you for creating such a cool product. I have used it for ca. two months and everything works perfect!
However, issues come after I have upgraded to WP 4.4 and Newsmag 2.3.3 (for your reference, my website is http://www.insight007.com)
1. Some articles can not be accessed any more
some articles can still be accessed (e.g. the big picture of the block on the top of the website)
some can not be accessed (e.g. the four small pictures on the right side of the block on the top of the website)
At first, when I click those articles, the note is something about “php file, exceed max length (260) …” (sorry, can not remember the exact note)
Then, I have updated my newsmag from 2.3.1 to 2.3.3. The issue has not been solved and now I get “500 – Internal server error”
I have already called my host, they have checked all the links and told me that the issue comes from the theme …
2. Block looks different from before
after updating to 2.3.3, I have found that the two “Block 1” in the page do not look as they should be anymore … (you can check it from the website)
It will be really great if you can support me on these two issues. It is really urgent! Thank you very much and have a nice day!
Best,
I have asked them to try to downgrade the WP 4.4 back to WP 4.3.1, the problem was solved, therefore, it should be surely the problem with the theme.
I planned to stay that way, however, then the WP automatically upgraded to 4.4 again … Then the problem is back …
Please kindly give me some support!
Did you increase default memory for your WP install in the wp-config.php file? 96MB or higher recommended.
Do you have the right php settings for your hosting account ?
Without the exact PHP error you got, kind of hard to comment on that.
I just went to your site, seems to be working fine. Ads not loading, but likely due to me being in US.
Oops, just got this “http://insight007.com/?p=952” // 500 internal server error.
You might try clearing any/all caching, reset CDN, and resave your permalinks.
Hi @icecold
Sorry for the delay and for all inconveniences. We take the topics from the oldest to the newest and because you updated your topic it was always on top.
I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using the latest version of the theme, but an older version of Visual Composer plugin: http://screencast.com/t/l0jivAfL Please try to update the Visual Composer plugin from the
Newsmag-th/plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/miUvStRJT – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ Note that you have to look in the V2.3.3 path after the indicated folder. Also try to deactivate all others plugins except VC, clear all caches including browser cache, purge cdn files if you’re using and test again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this issue please address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com including a link to this conversation and also give us wp-access so we can have a closer look at this issue.
Thanks!
