So I decided to try some of the Weblog editors out there, so that I can create articles offline, just to save some bandwidth and time. However, each time I try such an app (like BlogDesk, Windows Live Writer or Word 2013 for instance) I receive an error saying the following:
“The following website address could not be found”
website/xmlrpc.php
Please check the url and try again
From your experience, could this be an issue with the server itself?
I’ve checked and the file xmlrpc.php is there.

Only way I’ve gotten that to work is the post by email settings:
