Jetpack required to run Newspaper theme?

I have been using the Jetpack plugin for over 5 years, but I would like to delete it now due to the overlap with the functions of the hosting company I use, Siteground. Can you determine whether Jetpack plugin is required, or even beneficial for use with TagDiv Newspaper theme we use?

Hi,

Yes, you can deactivate the Jetpack plugin, but just make sure everything is correctly configured with file permissions, as there have been issues with SiteGround before.

Just upated wordpress to 6.8 today no issues. Before I install Tag Div Newspaper ver 12.7 are you all set with bugs/fixes for this version?

Been waiting on 12.7 update due to all the forum complaints…

Hello,

Based on our tests, we haven’t discovered any issues. However, just to be safe, you could create a staging environment with the latest version of WordPress and the latest version of the theme.
