jQuery Library Outdated

Hi there team:

While doing a Lighthouse test on my site i just got that the jQuery library version used on the theme is not the most updated one, and google recommends using the latest one.

Are you guys planning to update the library in a near future?

Hi,

Yes, the ” jQuery library version” will be update in coming updates, unfortunately, I cannot say for sure in which update, or when, but this will be update.

I second this, the current one is listed as having vulnerabilities.

Hi,

After further research it seems that WordPress uses an old version of jQuery, this will be apply on each theme, you can test with a default WordPress theme too.

Because of backwards compatibility I believe.
