jQuery slowing down website

There’s some jQuery script slowing down my site big time.
Is jQuery used in Newspaper? If so, where I can find it, so that I might defer its load

or can I just safely delete it?

Please keep in mind that we have no bad reports until now in this regard! Yes, the jQuery is used in our theme because the WordPress system uses this and the theme only calls this. We haven’t made any tests in this regard and we cannot give a more accurate response in this case. For more references, you can consult the Google documentation in this regard, here -> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/service/DeferJavaScript Also, please notice that you can try to use the deer attribute to JavaScript but this can be risky. If you want to display more levels in our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
