When I try to save a post with a YouTube video, the theme returns a JSON error: “Update failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”
Any ideas on how to fix this?

We use the Newspaper theme on our website. For about 4 or 5 months now, we’ve been getting the following error constantly when trying to publish a post. Typically, our posts only include the featured image, although we sometimes include an extra image or a YouTube URL.
JSON error: “Update failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”
We’ve enabled WP debug mode, and the error keeps recurring is the following:
PHP Deprecated: parse_str(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /var/www/html/wp-content/themes/NewspaperMyP/functions.php on line 75

Make sure that you are using the last theme version, 12.7.1
If the problem persists try with classic editor plugin.

We create and edit our posts with Gutenberg, the classic WordPress editor, but this persistent error is hindering our workflow. So the problem is persisting when you are using the classic editor plugin ?
This problem can be resolved using this guide – How to Fix the Invalid JSON Error in WordPress (Beginner’s Guide)
Also re-save the permalink, (sometimes needs to be saved again. Probably a htaccess or cache problem).
