Newspaper 7 is awesome in that it allows me to place ads based on Category by using different “SideBars” for each Category.
Now I want to be able to place banner ads by category on every page. One just below the Navigation and one just before the footer.
I know enough PHP to do this, but where in the theme do I place it. On websites I have built using Genesis Framework I just used “Genesis Hooks” to hook into where I needed them.
I am unable to find an equivalent in this theme or in WordPress in general.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Unfortunately the theme will not work with such hooks as it;s custom made and not using any framework. if you want to add conditions to the code in the header section to change them based on category you will need to alter the header files: https://www.screencast.com/t/fwWL5AwJTb8
